The Algon name prides itself on employer loyalty. The current high proportion of full time employed boilermakers and four apprentices are testament of this loyalty and its intention to expand and remain a dominant competitor in the fabrication industry.
To address the labour shortfall experienced from 2003 the company has implemented a Junior Development Program in conjunction with the specialist Metal Fabrication and Welding course under the New Apprenticeship System. This reinforces the company’s dedication to its future stability and loyalty to the local employment market.
Cutting capacities includes a cold band saw and for plates and a computer controlled oxy profile with up to four heads. Angles and plates are predominantly cut on one off three shear/punch machines.
