Located two hours south-west of Melbourne, on Eastern Maar and Wadawurrung Country, Corangamite is a large rural Shire with a population of 16,000.
The Shire’s boundaries stretch 120 kilometres from the rugged Port Campbell National Park in the south, past fertile farmland to the grazing expanses of the north. Corangamite’s towns include Skipton, Derrinallum, Lismore, Darlington, Noorat, Terang, Camperdown, Cobden, Simpson, Timboon, Port Campbell and Princetown. Council delivers a wide range of services to our communities including aged and disability services, kindergartens, childcare, waste management, local laws, emergency management, building and planning, roads, footpaths, and community facilities such aspools, parks, public halls, playgrounds and skate parks.
