At Cycle Science we know that it's not just about the bike. We have a bewildering number of types of bikes, and there's many brands, types and styles of bikes, trikes and recumbents. It's our job to provide you with top service, and for 17 years we've worked to give the right advice to help you select the bike that's perfect for you.

We'll never try to sell you the wrong bike, and we'd rather lose a sale than see a customer leave the shop with a bike that's not suitable. That's why we spend time with you to find out what you want to do with your bike, where you'll ride it and how you'll ride it before we start to show you what we have. We think that sets us apart from other bike shops.

Services

Cycle Science offers an expert and respectful bike fitting service at a realistic and affordable price by appointment. We run these cycle fit sessions on Friday afternoons, and the sessions are taken by a qualified cycling coach. Allow around 2 hours if you have a booking and bring your bike and cycling clothes and a drink bottle.

We also run regular basic bike maintenance courses where we teach basics like changing tyres and fixing punctures. These sessions are very hands-on (yes, we provide gloves so you don't get your hands dirty!) and our course attendees get to change their own wheels and diagnose and fix their own punctures with our helpful staff demonstrating and assisting, and providing supper and drinks.

Our Normal Opening Hours Are:

Monday to Wednesday: 9am to 5:30pm

Thursday: 9am to 6:30pm during daylight savings

Friday: 9am to 7:30pm

Saturday: 9am to 5pm

Sunday: 12pm to 5pm
