United Paper, the business, commenced in 1973 and traded under the name Upec Pty Ltd until a refocus of the business in 1996 resulted in the name change to United Paper. The name change was deemed necessary to identify the company with its core business.
United Paper is a wholly Western Australian owned company which has a proven record over the past twenty years and is well positioned to serve the Western Australian and Australian market.
Paper Products
The converting and paper products division includes the provision of both services (conversion of customer's own paper) and goods (sale of stock) and incorporates the following:
- Sheeting of customer stock - Providing paper products for the printing industry and folder market
- Slitting large paper reels to smaller reels for stock
- Sheeting of paper reels into Newsprint for sale to removalists, food industry and delicatessens
- Slitting of copy bond reels into counter rolls and news rolls for sale to office suppliers and stationery distributors
Paper Bags
A paper bag production facility was established in April 1997, capable of producing a complete range of brown kraft and white paper bags, with the option of printing in one or two colours.
Specialised bags can be manufactured, tailored to the customer's requirements.
