Founded by Claude Watkins more 70 years ago, Watkins prided itself on helping Tasmanians move locally, interstate, and overseas. Established in 1943, Watkins Removals and Storage was a family run, Tasmanian owned and operated business that began as a one-man operation.

With customer service excellence always at the heart of the business, Watkins quickly became the largest locally owned removalist company in Tasmania. In 2004, the Watkins family retired from the moving industry, and Greg Johnston purchased the successful business.
