About Us

Wightons Lawyers is one of the longest serving legal practices in Geelong, established in the 1890’s when James Wighton first started practising law in the area. During the 1920s, James Wighton merged with the practice of Allan McDonald and the firm Wighton & McDonald was born. Wighton and McDonald remained as one of Geelong’s premier law practices until 2000, when we re-branded to simply ‘Wightons Lawyers’. 

Wightons Lawyers has played a major role in the history of Geelong, dealing with various commercial and individual legal cases over the last century. Our experience and heritage has helped us to refine Wightons Lawyers into the practice it is today, a firm committed to offering a wide range of legal services that focuses on relationships and positive legal outcomes.
